Rows 2-25: dc 8. Ch2 and turn (8sts)

Row 26: ch1. Placing the hair elastic at the edge of row 25, sc8 around the hair elastic and into the stitches of the previous row. Adjust the hair elastic so that the new stitches all lay close together, slightly gathering the end of the headband. Without cutting the yarn, continue on by adding a border of sc stitches down the long edge. Finally, finish the second long side of the headband with sc border, bind off, and weave in your ends.
