These spooky looking bags are perfect for trick-or-treating time! The foundation of all the bags have the exact same design and by just using different color yarns, it transforms the whole design of each bag.
Once you choose the colors you want to crochet for this bag, you can create any design you want on top of the bag. But the picture above does give you free crochet designs that you can choose from!
In terms of the skill level, I would say this is an intermediate level project. Even though the main stitch being used is the double crochet stitch, you’ll also need to learn how to create a magic circle and work in rounds.
2. Spooky Halloween Hat

This is another practical pattern that you can crochet for Halloween. It may not look scary at first, but if you wear it with a witch or an all black dress costume, it definitely brings out the spookiness of it!
It’s also worth noting that this hat is so versatile, and can even be worn on a regular October day with a black or orange dress.
In terms of skill level, if you’re a beginner, it may look intimidating to crochet a spiral hat with two colors. You will need to know how to crochet two colors back and forth, so I would consider this to be an intermediate level pattern.
3. Crochet Spider Web Mitts

These cool looking spider web mitts are actually really easy to make and can be added to any spooky halloween costume! If you’re wearing the Night Before Christmas costume, as an example, then these mitts will match perfectly!
The web itself is done with chain stitches and the upper part, that’s around your wrist, is the double crochet stitch.
So if you’re a beginner, definitely give this pattern a try!

Check out this gothic looking doll! When I look at it, I admire how well it’s crocheted, but it also looks pretty creepy! And this definitely fits the vibe of Halloween.
If you’ve been crocheting for a while and have completed a couple amigurumi projects, then give this doll a try. However, if you’re a beginner, then I would not recommend this pattern as your first project as it’s more of an intermediate-level initiative.
6. Crochet Bat

This crochet bat is not part of the spooky list, but I had to add it because it’s very cute and if added in the right setting, it can fit in the whole Halloween and scary atmosphere!
This bat is good for beginners who want to get into crocheting amigurumis. It uses Chunky yarn and has a video tutorial that you can follow step-by-step.
And if you want something quick and easy to crochet for halloween, then definitely make this bat. It can be made in different sizes and colors which can really add diversity to your Halloween decorations.

If you already know and practiced the basic stitches, then this pattern should be your first amigurumi project!
First, because it’s worked in rows and not rounds, which is easier for beginners, and the main stitch is the single crochet stitch.
In terms of it’s scariness, at a glance it does look cute, but if you want to give it a more scarier look, then you can put it next to black spiders, webs and a coffin.
8. Crochet Spooky Eyes
Now I think this is the creepiest pattern in today’s round-up! Especially the veins coming out of the eyes.
There are many different ways you can use these crochet eyes for. It can be as a spooky decoration around the house or at a Halloween event.
They can even be displayed by your cocktail bar, next to your Halloween drinks to give it that extra scary vibe.
In terms of skill level, I would consider this to be an intermediate level pattern because you’ll need to know how to make the magic circle as you’ll be working in rounds and you’ll also need to know how to do increases and decreases.

Now vampires tend to look scary, but this one definitely doesn’t fit that profile! This is the type of applique that you’ll want to crochet in bulk during the festive season because of small and easy it is to make.
It can be used as a candy alternative during Trick or Treat time or it can even be used as a keychain of how small it is!
