This little carrot is too cute! It’s quick to make and is the perfect applique to any project you want to add it to.
I loved making this crochet carrot because it goes so well with Hops, my crochet bunny!
This amigurimi carrot is the perfect applique to a larger project, especially if you’re making amigurumis. I love how Hops is holding the carrot in his hands, and looks like he’s about to munch away.
It’s a quick and less intimidating project to start off if you want to begin crocheting amigurumis! Once you’ve completed this little carrot, you’ll be a lot more confident to take on more challenging and exciting projects like my adorable crochet cow (which will be the next level).
With Amigurumis, you need to be familiar with the magic ring and sewing the pieces together. This carrot will give you the chance all of this and it only has two pieces to sew – the leaves and the carrot.
About the Crochet Carrot
As I mentioned above, this project is easy and quick to complete in just a few hours.
The main body of the carrot is worked in rounds of single crochet stitches. The leaves are a little more complex I would say, as they follow a similar technique to crocheting a spiral. I will be releasing a tutorial in the near future about crocheting a spiral, so keep an eye out for that!
